Prayer Request for SQ family

I would humbly ask that you guys keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. Tonight, while I was working on my car, my wife and son were in an auto accident. They were rear ended on the interstate while coming into a construction zone. The truck that hit them, tried to tuck in behind them at the very last second and the traffic slowed down to a halt. The truck and it's horse trailer slammed into the rear of my trailer being pulled by my best friend's suv. The impact injured my both my god-daughters (ages 7 and 13), my son (age 17) and my wife (age withheld due fear of personal injury). All 4 have neck and back injuries, with the 13 yo having the worst injuries. I just thank God that my trailer took the hit instead of the truck. I can't even imagine what the injuries would have been instead.
Due to this situation, I must bow out of USAC Finals. I don't know what kind of physical therapy my wife and son will need, but I have my family to think about now. So I ask the Car Audio Central family of competitors and installers, to keep the Wallis family and the Perdue family (our best friends) in your prayers. My son informs me that he is fine, but we will see tomorrow and the next day. All I know is that I cannot go to the big show. I have to take care of my family. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

this is probably besides the point and i dont know if its the right time to ask, but was everyone wearing their seat belt?
just makes me think how lucky i was when i got in my accident, i normally never wear a seat belt but i did on the day i got in my accident, just kinda strange
-good luck to you and your family hope for the best

That is terrrible man im sorry to hear about that... Neck and Back injuries unfortunately are the most common and hardest to alleviate, but dont worry, there is clearly someone looking out for you and your family up there, so to add to that im sure that i will pray for a speedy recovery of your family... Good luck Joe

UPDATE: I just talked with my wife, she is still very much in pain, her neck is very stiff and was late to work today. I couldn't convince her to stay at home today...women.
My son also had a late start to school today...he was told last night if he wanted to stay home, he could, but he went in today so I guess it shows good character on his part. My wife told me that he was sore this morning too.
The little one (7yo) got up this morning and told her mom, "Welp, day 1 after car wreck", and she is better today. We figured since she is so small, her neck didn't go all the way back like her sister's did. She is sore, but doing fine and wanted to go to school.
The 13yo is staying home today. She can't move her head, her neck is so stiff. She is still hurting when she breathes, which is probably because of the thoracic strain that occurred from the seatbelt. She is drugged up and sleeping well.
All in all, I am thankful that they aren't hurt much worse. I told JoeyC today that the trailer that they were towing acted as a crumple zone when the truck hit it. If my best friend hadn't borrowed the trailer last night, I know it would have been much worse for our family and friends.
Thanks for all the well wishes, prayers and thoughts. We definately feel them, and I know that in the car audio world, I have friends and family as well. Thanks again.
Joe

Joe, thats terrible news. Your family and friends will be in our prayers. Let this be a lesson to all, slow down, its not worth that extra spot. It always annoys me when people do that sort of thing, I am just glad to hear everyones ok. Let me know if I can help in any way Joe.
