Why, you may ask, well, just the good ole Ferrari French Quarter Classic of 2006 is going on! As some of you may remember, I attended the 2004 and saw some pretty sweet Ferraris and other vehicles. Sadly, last year's was cancelled, but it's back again! I'm definately going to the track day and possibly the Concourso event.

OMG OMG OMG OMG
I had the most wonderful experience today. My life is complete, I tell you! I got a ride in a Ferrari F40 ... MODIFIED F40!!!! New ECU, new turbos, exhaust, brakes, and slicks. Only one word describes it: WOW
The g's it pulls in the corners is completely insane. When those turbos kick in, whoa. That is such a beast. The straight on the track only lasts about 5 seconds... that's enough for 130mph before slamming on the brakes. Those 4 point harnesses really come in handy there...

A friend of mine that went with me, he borrowed a helmet from one of his buddies where he goes to school. Long story short, he lent the helmet to this woman who didn't have one, that was going to get a ride in that F40. The deal was that he got a ride for it. Then after his ride, he asked if I could have one. So I very patiently waited for one
The silver wheels are his street tires, the black ones are the slicks :)
