I found out today that i may owe my college $1700 for tuition. i dropped a class a while backa nd turns out that may have set me up for this. sucky huh? It was boudn to happen, i got 2 raises in the past few months and until the past few weeks have been doing okay financially.

not sure how the fuck im giong to get out of this one.. i mean my dad's obviously going to help but its going to end up being either us being broke for a few weeks or putting it on a credit card for a while.. shtie either way. his b**** wife doesn't help with the bills so its just him and i on this.

i hate to say it but i think im feeling emo today! thsi shit has been bugging me all fricken day. i can't sleep... i think this shit just happens to me after i do good for a while.

so basically your saying your like every other college student.... except most dont have their parents paying for any of it

students loans... they may suck to pay off, but they get poor people like me through college. try having to take out over 25k a year for tuition...

everyone has shit happen. no reason to get depressed or feel "emo". just take the bad with the good and be happy your life isn't worse, like an indonesian starving family.

once your done with college and in the real world, you'll be wanting to go back...

Like most Americans I got a fair amount of debt, its part of our lifestyle. Ive learned to cope with it and pay it as it comes.

I got about $10K altogether or so...

So if you only got $1700 relax, pay it over a year or so.

But beware, if you dont pay you will loose all your federal assistance (assuming you get it). I screwed up like that, didnt pay it within 30 days, bam.... done...

Like I said, dont screw up. Put it on a credit card tomorrow and start making them payments...

The community college I was going to, the amount they would loan wouldnt of even paid for books...

Be careful with these loans though. As soon as your out of school for 6 months you have to start paying it back...

Also its not free money. That money is going to cost more down the road when you repay it... My ex seems to think its free money, for the last 3-4 years.... lol, boy oh boy will she shit herself when she finds out how much her payments are going to be...

Yep, as soon as they give you the loan, they're loading on that interest :)
But what can you do? It's just too much money for any average, or even well off, family to take care of.

Yeah i was accepted for a few loans but i didn't take them because i didn't need them (and didn't want to be in debt right now. maybe in a few months)

thats the damn truth. although i'm in a community college so its not too bad, but if i was in a regular college, i'd be racking up the loans.

Who are they charging you this?

You have a certain timeframe to drop, usually 1 week. Then 2 weeks total but must pay instructor fees. I did that and had to pay almost $250 fees and I never went a day...

not entirely sure yet. i think its because i'm take 4 classes (full time) but on eof my classes may be considered non-degree credit (because its a pre-requisit. math 101... testing scores > me.) so dropping enlgish may have dropped the financial aid.
