so i guess the point of that is to make things easy to steal. who needs to break the window to get your subs when they can just take the whole window

My neighbor had one of those speakerboxwindows in his S10 back in 95. You could get them tinted, or in neon colors. Bulletproof my ass. That is exactly how he got his stuff stolen.
