Hey guys Im looking at high output alternators for my 2001 IS300 and Ive heard good things about Excessive Amperage and Knukonceptz. Looking to get one (preferrably bolt-on) that does about 200-250 amps. Anything I should know about these two companies/which is better/is there an alternative company that has higher quality products?

Thanks
Dan

Either company should provide you with a quality product. I think EA also offers a lifetime guarentee thing. You pay a bit extra, but if you decide to switch vehicles, you send back the alt and get the correct one for your new vehicle. (I THINK that's EA.)

I know Bill uses Excessive and he hasn't had any problems I don't think. Knu just started carrying alts and I haven't heard anything about them yet. I think there was a thread on hear about them starting to carry them though. I would personally go with Excessive. They are pretty well established and realiable from what I have heard.

Somebody else might be able to give you more input on the knukonceptz one. You can also look at the Good Bad and Ugly list we have in the FAQ's.

Running a 160amp in the Beretta without any problems. It's been 2 years I think since I installed it. Soon to go with the 200amp though..need more.

i dont like irragi he came out and admited he uses cheap parts for alts unless you get the lifttime one and i have heard many complaints about them. MCR or excessive is the way to go
