I just bought a Power Acoustik 2.0 Fared Capacitor. Well i got the thing all hooked up and know i need to know if there is any way you can shut it off with out pulling out my fuse every time. Im not to sure on how to work this thing very well but the instruction dont give much help at all. Thanks Chris

What made you buy a capacitor?

I wanted the bass hit harder and i also hear it may save my battery and other parts on my car.

actually it wont do anything of the sort. itll put more of a drain on your battery and alternator making them go bad faster.

So should i take it off.
It seems to help the alternator Because the volt meter dont nove at all with it hook up. When i did have it hooked up it use to move all over the place.

You don't have to shut it off by using the fuse. It's not pulling any power after you turn it off. Remember that a capacitor holds power. So it's running after you turn the car off by using the power it has stored.

Ok do you know how long it takes for all the power to leave the capacitor. Because i knew that it ran on it self for awile but i did not know how long. So i also thought that it was taking power from my battery after i turned it off.

depletion of the capacitor depends on how much current is being drawn in the circuit. there's no fixed drain period. It varies by load on the circuit.
generally it can be depleted in a matter of seconds.

Sell it and get a new alternator, battery, and do the big 3. Problem solved.
