I have an 06 spectra and am trying to get throught the fire wall. I see in the middle there is an area behind all the the intake but there is a case that I can't get through. I'm wondering if there is anyother way or do I need to drill a new hole. thanks

Take a good look around from the engine bay side and from the interior side trying to find holes, rubber placeholders, rubber things like what holds the wiring going into your door, anything before you decide to start drilling. Believe it or not, on my truck, I ran my wiring to the battery under the car because there was an exact size 1/0 hole right at the back of my seat's hardware. Just popped a little grommet in there and ran it right under the car!

i have always busted out the drill and made my own holes if i could not find one. be sure to pull back the carpet INSIDE the car and make sure you have a clear pathway. nothing sucks more then finding you just shredded a wire bunch or something.
also make sure you put a rubber gromet in the hole. and then stick you wire through.

drill with a unibit, it will make it killer easy...i tried running wire under my car once about 15 years ago....ill never do it again...something jumped and yanked the wire loose while i was driving even though i zip tied the hell out of it and it jerked it free from the underhood fuse holder so when i got to work i had about 10 ft. of 4 guage behind me....just make sure to prime your drilled edges so you dont start a rust spot...

Also if you do drill your own hole, put some silicone around it after drilling and before you put in the rubber grommet. This keeps the open metal behind the grommet from rusting out on you.

Theres almost always an used hole to run the wire through on the drivers side.... But if you cant find on take a punch and hammer and make a impression and check the other side before drilling....

I ran it along the inside of the frame, so I'd have to tear a chunk out of my frame for it to do that. It's zip tied all the way up then run up through the engine bay, all zip tied, right into the fuse holder.
That'd be a show if that wire did for some ungodly reason rip out. It'd probably take my thin floor pan with it. lol

I never had a problem in the S10. I used water proof flex tube thru the engine bay, and then pvc for the rest of the run. Mounted it to the side of the frame with a few brackets, and never looked back. Heck it didn't even budge when i flipped the truck.

You beat me to it.
