what amp should i get

im new to this and was wondering how many watt amp i should get for a good price for my 2 800 watt each subs. i want some nice clear bass. Thank you

i dont know the rms probably around 400 i just bought them from a guy for 50 dollars and had them hooked up to a 560 watt amp

so we got it down to something pushing around 800-900 watt rms. now, do you possibly know what impedence the subs are, in other words are they dual 4 ohm voice coil, dual 2 ohm, single 4 ohm, what? this is important for matching up an amp. also, how much are you looking to spend? you can spend $200 or $700 for 800 watts, it just depends on how good of an amp it is, and where you decide to buy it from. also, look through the faq section of this forum for the good, bad, and ugly list for brands to look at.

i went to hear them and they didnt so that great so now im looking for a 2 subs in a box to buy up to 400 dollars any suggestions

best way to match the right amp to your subs is if we know the RMS/coninuous power handling of the speakers and their impedance.

I'd guess with a max of 800, they're probably 400 watts each RMS

ok well what are you lookign for in sound are you just looking to Boom or are you looking for sq or a little bit of both?
