Alpine HU in '99 Escalade

Sup guys,

im no stranger to car audio or electronics. got a pretty badass setup in my truck thats not outrageous, but tastefully done and sounds superb.

anyway my brother is having issues with the stock stereo in his '99 Escalade and it just simply aint cutting it anymore.

What I wanted to know is it possible to use an after market head unit (i.e. an alpine) and still retain the rear passenger control in the back of the center console from the factory?

My guess is no, but who knows i mean there are some very knowledgeable car stereo gurus out there who might be able to enligten me

Check into either Metra, PAC or American International.

These companies make wiring harness's and adapter for such situations. Beware it may not be cheap!
