Anyone knows how much the boss CH1000 amp really puts out.
i know that boss is clearly over rated.
so these numbers may be meaningless buy these are the stats from boss' website.

I think the real question here is not how much power will it put out, but how long will it put out power? :happy055:

I'd take rms power and subtract about 30% - 40% of that....

See I got 2 audiobahn aw1206t's. They are rated at 1100 "audiobahn watts" RMS each (really somwhere around 900-950 watt RMS each) then I bought 2 1700 watt RMS into 2 ohms boss amp for $190 so that way, even if it do only put out 60% of its rated powere, then it still has enough to power my subs for a really cheap price. To my suprise however they benchtested at around 1300-1400 watt RMS into 2 ohms so its not as bad as you may think. And its one ohm stable and barely gets warm even after cruisin around houston (and you know how long that takes in our traffic).

All in all, if you gone buy a boss amp then get one that is AT LEAST twice as powerful as your sub's RMS, that way you can still power the sub and only spend a fraction of the price...

and then your amp cuts out on u in less than a year or worse destroys your subs with a involuntary spike in power... Yea still not a great idea but i guess it will work as a temporary fix

Actually, I aint got the Boss amp no more (Zapco 1100.1. hooked up to a AWES15p in the back of a 1983 cutlass. My uncle is my connect on the expensive ****. Hooks me up with everything...) but when I was using the boss amp it never died on me for those 3 years and even if it did I had a 6 year warranty. Also, I always kept an eye out for bass distortion and I made sure to set my gain ONLY as high as it could go with my Head unit/sub combination so I never really had to worry about my sub blowing up and ****. Believe me, as long as you dont do crazy **** with your sub/amp combo you will be okay, but as soon as you get a chance, upgrade your amp. You will be very happy with the improvement.

Damn, boss amps aint that bad cousin! You must have had a bad experience with one didnt you...
