here is an exchange of emails between myself and a "scammer"

I will not be selling you my “item”. It is not for sale out of the US. Therefore I cannot give you the information that you need. If you could even muster spell check I would consider it, but unfortunately not even that is something you understand. I also know about the “shipping scam”, so your futile attempt to get me to give you the information that you need will not even hold water that the ship sails on. I am sorry, but please do not contact me again as I will be forced to submit this email series to the United States Trade Commission and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for Internet Scams.

When I had my old accord, i had a joker try to do the same thing to me. His story was that he had a client in Europe that wanted his steering wheel to be on the left hand side...He too was from Africa..sad thing is, is that these people really do make millions of dollars through internet scamming.

When I was selling Xbox 360s on ebay, I had a number of people that didn't want to pay through Ebay. Instead, they used some internet check thing called echecks. I felt a scam, and they sent me $4k. Luckily I caught it, and didn't send them the xboxes.

they sent you 4 grand and you didn't take it?

Well its a longer story, I just didn't feel like typing it.

But here I go.

I was selling bulk xbox 360s on ebay. Some foreigner mails me, and tells me he wants to buy liek 5 of them and that he will send me something called echex. And that I need to go buy ink and check paper. So I go buy the ink and check paper. He sends me the check for like $4k. I print it. I deposit it in my bank account and wait for it to clear.

This has been REALLy fishy, since like 20 other foreigners have also e-mailed me asking about echex and if thye can pay with that. I'm kind of like, hum.. this doens't sound right. So I look it up online and sure enough, somewhere on a government site is a warning about echex. Supposedly, using echex all you need is some little information about someone's bank account, and you can use it to send money to people. The thing is, once that certain someone opens his bank account and sees that someone has been using it, hes goign to call fraud, and the money will go against me. I would've been 5 xbox 360s less if I hadn't researched it.

So yah, just watch out, double check everything.
