i just put 2 new audiobahn alum10n's in my car im feeding them around 1600-1800 watts at 1.5 ohms with an 1800 watt audiobahn amp each speaker is 800 watt rms and 1600 max, how long should i run them low to break them in before i can crank them to the power they can handle?

Technically, at least 10 hours. But who are we kidding, no one really does that.

how long do you suggest then to make a good break in so the first time i crank them it dont damage them?...and also on my amp it has a clipping meter next to the volt meter it has like 5 blue lights then 1 red at the end if the clipping goes into the red is that bad?

Yes, clipping will damage the subs and advenutally the amplifier.

so i should set it so that it just goes under red, will taking it to a shop to let them fine tune it make it so i can give it more power before it clips or is that pretty much set because it clips out at somewhat low levels right now?

Don't waste your time with a shop. Turn up your volume to normal listening volume (the loudest you will ever turn it up). Turn the gain up until the clipping light goes on, then turn it down slightly. You NEVER want it to clip.
Set the low pass filter to 80hz. Keep the bass boost OFF.

well on mine i have bass boost screw to select the level of boost then i have a lpf which is set around 50 i would say and then i have a level screw, if i turn the level screw down what will that do? of course it is too late to mess with it tonight its about 11 here and my neighbors would hate me forever so i have to mess with it tommorrow after work... but what is that level screw for? it also has a sub sonic screw...what the hell is that? lol im a newbie sorry for all the questions

the FAQ is your best friend my man!! Like Justin said, LPF at around 80hz, Bass Boost off because it will just cause clipping, subsonic filters are mainly used with ported box's and the level is actually the input sensitivity. Mainly, you want to match the input sensitivity to your HU's pre-out voltage, but just turning it up until it distorts then turning back a tad works well too.

so basically like justin said turn my system up to the max volume id listen to it on any day and set my controls on the amp down right below the clipping and it should be ok?

yessir, doing that you only use the level knob. All the others have a specific place to be.
