Just finished the install, and one thing i always notice when reading some topics is you guys don't use the bass boost on the amp. can u guys tell me why that is, and should i be using a LPF or HPF if i mostly listen to r and b / rap.

Bass boost is going to increase your chances for distortion and clipping. If the bass is not loud enough for you, try a ported box or more power. Otherwise use the bass boost at your own discretion. For a sub use the LPF or low pass filter. Set it at 80 or less.

LPF blocks low frequencies, i thought i would want to block high frequencies if i was using a woofer.

No problem man, thats what we are here for. I would listen to it at a little below normal for a week or so, and go from there.

bass boost is kind of a personal thing....i prefer not to use it but some amps wont make any noise with it turned all the way down if there is no way to turn it off......
