Pioneer 6x9 Speakers

Hey

Ive just installed a set of pioneer 6x9 3 way speakers in my car. Ive got them in boxes. Im running them off a JVC 200w deck. Now the problem is i am getting little or no bass from them...like the mids are alright and the highs are perfect...is this a problem with the speaker or the deck? and is it sumthing that can be fixed?

200 Watt Deck? I hope you mean amp, no deck can put out 200 watts.

Maybe he is thinking that the little 50x4 Watts logo means it has 200 Watts of power????

Well if you do have them wired to the deck they may be giving it a wierd ohm load. Do you know what ohm the speakers are? What kind of deck is it, model number?

Speakers - 4 ohm
JVC - KD-G300 MP3 Deck

and yes there wired to the deck, not throuhg an amp

well the actual RMS power of that deck is about 19Wx4. So the speakers are definitly being under powered. This may be the reason there is no bass. Are the speakers moving at all? They may be working just not to full potential because of the lack of power.

it didnt look like the speakers were moving....could it be sumthing to do with the magnets??

the bottom line: The deck doesnt have the power to push them.

Also the boxes they are in are to SMALL.

Im sorry but all them 6x9 boxes are about 3 times to small.

You WILL NOT get bass out of 6x9's in them small boxes, especially running off just a deck.
