Im runing two pg xenon 10s to a 2 channel planet audio amp(2ohm), but im getin no power on the left + and - on the amp, the right + and - work, powering one of the subs but the left side doesnt power the other sub. I have them both wired to a 2ohm. Is there somthing wrong with the amp, and if so where should i go to get fixed? thanks

Sounds like the left output stage is fried. Try swapping your right and left rca wires and left and right speaker leads. If it stays the same its in the amp. If it moves then your problem is somewhere else.

could also be a bad rca connection in the left. If you swap the right rca and you get output, then thats your problem. Or you could have a dead output from the rca source (be it the head unit or another amp).

Not really, but your still narowing it down to being internal to the amp.

Not if you swap the rca wires like I said. If it moves sides you know its not in the amp.

okay. Hold on a second. He has a 2 channel amp. So he has a right rca in which is fed to the right + -, then he has the left rca which feeds the left + -. If the rca is loose or faulty in one channel, it wont play anything on that channel. Unless its implied that he used a DMM to measure the left output, how can you just say that output is fried ?
by "swap the right rca" I ment to say "swap the right rca to the left" much as you did, just not adding in the "swap the speaker connections" because if you do both at the same time its going to conceal a problem with the sub itself.

Since you have the subs running stereo rather than bridged, your amp might not have anything to do with it. The sub that's not playing may be blown and/or the wires inside the box may have come disconnected. pop both speakers with a 9v battery and make sure they both work. At least that way you can rule out whether that's a factor or not.

Or swap the speaker wires at the amp, and see if it moves sides.
Sorry AF I couldn't resist.
Honestly there are tons of ways to narrow down the problem. Personally I like to move things at the point that I feel the problem is (amp) and go from there. Like swaping the rca's and speaker wires (one at a time).
In the end it doesn't matter how you find out whats broke. All that really maters is knowing what part, so you can get it fixed.

I just suggested poping the speaker because it would be quicker. It's all good Jeremy. :)
Did I read somewhere you extended to stay in Germany another two years? I'm trying to get back out of the states. If I can find a job in Germany, I plan to take it. So maybe I'll see you over there. I haven't heard anything on the job in Japan yet.
