I've been around for awhile. I was also a part of CAC before it moved. I just haven't been posting much until recently (med school).

I was born and raised in Chicago and remain here for the time being.

I have learned a tremendous amount since joining. Unfortunately, I have never installed a system and have yet to experiment with unfamiliar brands. I know where everything goes, I just have never ran the wiring myself or even attempted to build a box.

So unfortunately, even now as I am shopping a new system...I am basically going to end up slapping an amp on two subs in a prefab enclosure :sad017:

...but I am informed in doing so. I just lack time and the car audio shops around here are quite expensive and some of them (some) quite shady. If you have seen any of my threads including this one, I tend to ramble at times :words

Anyhow, great forum. This forum reflects a good side of human nature where the knowledgable graciously help ignorant folk like me, answering the same questions over and over...all out of the love of car audio :thumbsup

Thanks

Ever seen pay it forward? Well that's what it's like. So when we teach you, you teach someone else, and so on and so on. Glad you have made it over.
Running your wires are really easy. Once you have done it once. You can do it over and over. And after a while you learn lil tricks that make things go quicker when you instal. So I would say go ahead and try, and we will help you all the way through.
