i have an 18" audiobahn that is 4000watts rms
i am having trouble finding a descent amp for it though
right now i have the 2300hct model amp its supposed to run 2400 watts at 1ohm but its not happening so i have it wired at 4 ohms and i think it is pulling 600 watts but its not enough for me
can someone recommend me towards a good amp at a price that wont put a hole in my pocket
THANKS FOR HELPING

You won't find 4000 watts RMS at a "good price". For serious power it will cost you a few thousand dollars. My opinion? Sell that overpriced paperweight and buy a better subwoofer that doesn't require 4000 watts RMS.

i like the power it has even at 600 watts if that much but i think the audiobahn amp is junk and just want some better recommendations from someone that might already have an amp that sound good. idont necessarily want an amp that has 4000watts rms i just want something better than what i got

The JBL 1200.1 is a pretty good choice. It puts out its rated power, maybe even a bit more. Do you have a h.o alternator? My cousin had the audiobahn 2300, it was complete crap. As for the sub... I would take Justins advice and buy another sub with a lower and more realistic rms rating. Anyways, good luck.

the jbl sounds nice but i would like something that is 1 ohm stable and has a little more power up to like $700 price wise. if you could feel the low bass this speaker hits you would want to keep it to sorry justin

The JBL 1200.1 is one ohm stable. What upgrades do you have to your cars electrical system? In order to run that kind of power you'll need a h.o alternator or two, maybe even a few batteries, which wont be cheap. You probably already knew that, but I thought I would bring it up just in case. Anyways, good luck on our system... :thumb:

im looking at the rockford fosgate power T20001bd or the JBL BPx2200.1. The rockford fosgate runs 2000 watts at 1ohm and the jbl runs 2450 at 4ohms. The jbl is about $100 bucks cheaper but i heard alot of good things about the rockford. :help:

4,000 Watts RMS is insane. Unless you have a high output alternator and like 6 extra batteries forget it.
Either push it with a JBL 1200.1 or find a new sub. YOu wont find any amp worth a crap that has more than thats many watts for that cheap, just is not going to happen.
Sorry to give it to you real, but someone has to.
You would be way ahead of the game to sell that overgrown power sucker and buy something worthwhile, in my opinion.

I agree, buy a new sub(s)..maybe something a little more efficient..that runs off less power..that audiobahn is ridiculous.
