I was just wondering if there is anything that will connect a MP3 Player with a HU besides the ones that rely on FM frequencies. I saw those at a Best Buy and they looked very crappy...

Yeah.... i used a cable that went from a headphone end to an rca cable. I put it into an amp but on some head units they have extra rca in's to plug into.

well the FM transmitter are terrible... trust me on that one. Depending on what kind of head unit you have you can use RCA jacks. I’m almost positive no stock HU will have an input so you will need an aftermarket HU. if you already have an aftermarket HU just take it out and look in the back of it for an input and put the RCA jack into it (any RCA jack will work). your going to have to find a place to run the wire so its not just sticking out. i put mine in the compartment under the HU.
but again don’t go with a FM transmitter. They are terrible.

also some hu's (sony) that have changer controls use rca audio inputs....i have an older sony and i am running an aux source into the changer audio inputs by using a pac audio switcher to switch between changer and video.....
