I cant decide what i wanna do to make my subs louder. My kickers can handle 500 rms, 2 subs. I orignionally only wanted to spend 200 but i have learned i need to spend a little more. I am only spending up to 300. I am looking for a amp that would be decent and that would just be able to work for me, i dont really need a real high quality amp. I have found two soundstream amps.... pic1.900d--900rms x1 and vga800.2--400x2. I have also seen ma audio and hifonics cheap. Although i have read many things about hifonics breaking and overrated specs. Are there any other brands that i can look into that will give me around 800-1000rms for cheap??

Put a little extra with that 300 and that's a good price for an amp that big. I have bought from that guy before and he didn't do me wrong.

Thats 1200rms into a 1ohm load.... which is what i would wire my speakers to (dual 4ohm). That would be 600 rms to each of my Comp vrs. Wouldnt that hurt the subs.... this is going into a daily driver and i like to play it pretty loud.... its a relaxing feeling

trust me I know I actually run my two MTX 7500's off of a kx600.1 and they straight pound.

Keep in mind. Doubling your power will only net you a 3db increase. If you want to get louder, i would suggest going ported.

Actually, you'd be lucky to get 800w RMS out of that amp. Is it even 1ohm stable? The reason you want a decent to good quality amp is that build quality will make the difference in your amp lasting you 5+ years or 5-10 months. I'd highly suggest that kicker amp. I'm a big fan of kicker amps, especially for the price. Also, I really like the new model Hifonics amps. Nice, beefy power supply on those amps for the price. Either amp would be a great choice.

I really love the kicker amps and if you check out that sellers store he has a butt load of refurb kicker amps at good prices I'm sure you could find one that fits the bill.
