JVC Arsenal 760

Post by veggie-man »

Well I was thinking about buying one of these… then I stumbled upon a REAL good deal (http://www.cardomain.com/item/JVCKDAR760). I was wondering if anyone has tried one of these and what they thought of it.

But before I order it I have a question. If I were going to play off an I pod I am assuming I would get a jack like this from apple (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/W ... C856LL%2FA) but then I’m not sure where I would plug this into. Would I need an adaptor to plug into the back of the player? If seeing the back of the Player would help…go to this link (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3717.html#) and click the picture. Dam I’m so confused :confused

Bahhhh

The line in on that can work.

Its getting tricky with these things...

Anyhow there is a Y splitter available thats like this. Two male RCAs and a 1/8" stereo input jack. Then all you need is a 1/8" to 1/8" jack cord...

Viola!

Ultimate control of what is playin on the IPod will be from the unit. If the unit has volume you will have two volumes to deal with...

Good question?

When you start getting out of the realm of what a product is designed to fo/function it becomes a guessing game.

According to Crutchfield or whoever, JVC makes an adapter for controlling or use with a Ipod. Its like $45-55 though.

Myself being cheap, would just buy the y adapter I mentioned and live with it. The adapter I think allows you to control the Ipod via the CD changer controls. Your music STILL gets to the headunit by RCAs and some form of adapter off the 1/8 stereo jack...

Thats my $3.93 worth.
