still working on the front stage. wondering which would sound best. we're re-fabricating a fiberglass enclosure in the base of the front doors, regrdless.

IB or Aperiodic?
AP membrane isn't going to do a whole lot for a midbass driver. Primary benefit of AP is to damp the impedance peak at Fs, with a midbass driver this isn't really an issue saying it's at 53 hz for that driver. With subs it's a completely different story.
I'd run the mid IB for simplicity sake. You'll get healthy output down to 60-70hz with the DLS midbass drivers.
Keep in mind that if you go AP, you need to be able to tune the thickness of the damping material within the membrane. It's application specific, that Scanspeak vent isn't likely going to be best for your specific install.

It would see more benefit with the 8" in the console. Can't remember what type of sub you are talking about, though, but it will need to have tuning to the driver in mind regardless. Not too hard to do, you just need an RTA to do it with. You can also do it by checking impedance. There is a tutorial for this on ECA.

AP could potentially help the midbass driver, but IMO can't justify the effort or the efficiency loss. Main thing it would do is help smooth out the rolloff below the crossover freq, and control excursion a little better at Fs. Saying you're going to have a front sub anyway, you'll probably be raising the x-over freq that much more.
