brand name comparison

does any one know the true output of amps made by jl audio, audiobahn, and ma audio (comparison of amps at the same rms watts)
i was told that i should use a jl 500/1 for my audiobahn awt 15x (3000 watts rms 4 inch dual 2 0hm voice coil) it can be wired for 1 or 4 ohm operation through one chanel i think 1 ohm for sure
can anyone help with a good sounding amp for this sub for a lower price than audiobahn
P.S. just for fun post your overall personal choice of brand name when it comes to car audio. at the bottom of this page should be a jpg of my sub if i did it right.

The JL slash series put out a little more than their rated power. So the 500/1 would be more like 525 to 550 RMS at 12 to 14.4 volts 1.5 to 4 ohm.
The audiobahn will more than likely give you a peak rating. So find out the RMS rating before you make a decesion. FYI, I don't like audiobahn. Nor do most of the people on here.
MA I don't know enough about to comment.
IMO the JL is the best amp you listed. I am currently running its big brother and am really happy with it.

the sub rms is 3000 watts by every thing posted on the web and some say 6000 watts peak
i got the sub brand new really cheap and i know how audiobahn sounds fyi dont like there sound quality i jus dont know what amp to use without breaking the bank
i would like an amp that pushes it under $1,000

ok i wouldnt put more than 1-1.5kw on that sub or you will fry it. look at an autoek mm1400.1 or elevation audio 1500.1 and since your close to me i can sell you these with warranty.

Bwcad1, do the Elevation amps put out their rated power? And how much would a 1500.1 cost?

the elevation amps are slightly underrated.....list on the dx1500.1 is like 900

kinda like those guys that like the looks of an old ford and then put a chevy motor and trans in it........terrible....but hell if he gets the amp it wont be long before he needs a x anyway
