I have a lanzar vibe286 4000 watt 2 channel pushing (2) 2000 watt max audiopipe 15's and i just got done hookin it up and i think something is wrong, i have my subs wired 2 ohm and the amp is 2 ohm stable, it isnt pushing them at all, wondering if i could be doin something wrong...maybe the amp is severely overrated...?

im not all that familiar with lanzar but you did leave out a few basic things that are intrinsic to any question of this nature....are you running the amp stereo or bridged........are they single or dual voice coil subs........what configuration are the voice coils? 4 ohm 8 ohm 2 ohm 1 ohm? my gut feeling is that this amp is rated at 2ohms stereo and you have it bridged which will only be 4 ohms stable

How much did you buy this amp for, chances are if around 100 bucks, and a 50 amp fuse on the amp. It's no were near 4000 watts. And don't even look at the subs MAX rating there useless. Look at the RMS rating then get a amp that will push that. I'd guess those 15's are about 600-800 RMS. So you should look into a 1200RMS amp stable at 2 ohms. Also if you are gonna be pulling so many amps, you will want to upgrade your stock electrical system. New Alt, Big 3, and Batt.

Use that site to see if you really do have the subs wired right. Most 2 channel amplifiers are only stable at 4 ohms bridged.
•2 x 1000 RMS at 4 OHMS
•2 x 2000W MAX at 4 OHMS
•1 x 4000W MAX at 4 OHMS Bridged
This is the rating on the amp. Wont do anything at 2 ohm except to get hot, and fail.

?
the subs are dual 2 ohm voice coils, they are 1000 watts RMS and 2000 watts max, the amp was almost $200 bucks and i know it isnt pushing 4000 watts but dam, anyway, the amp has (2) 35 amp fuses. The amp is two ohm stable and i have the subs wired correctly at 2 ohms. any other ideas....?
