This would be my first system so i have no idea if this would hit or even if i have the watts all match up... but here it is:

just one sub... 2 if you guys highly suggest it

i think i would have just one sub if that would hit hard enough...i'm mostly looking for SPL here so let me know how this would work.

1. does the wattage even match up on the sub to amp (is there a better match?)
2. would this hit hard for what i'm paying
3. suggestions... any ideas for this... completely different set-up? i'm open here
4. if this is a good match what type of box? (2001 Toyota Camry)

and please comments are appreciated

that amp would power those subs fine if it'll put out rated power i (and most) personally wouldn't use audiobahn....

i didnt buy anything yet i was just wanting everyones imput... if the audiobahn is real shitty i will get a diffrent kind.... if there is any suggestions let me know

i'm going to search the web right now and try to find out (i really have no clue what i'm looking for tho watts wise and whatnot

you ant an amp that'll put out enough for the RMS of both speakers combined, in your case.. each speaker is 400w RMS so you'd need around 800w RMS.

can you give us an idea as to what your budget is for just the amp? there are some decent amps on here that will do you well but we need a budget

well i really wouldnt want to go MUCH over $250 for an amp but i dont think i have much of a choice to get a somewhat decent amp...

i was really only thinking of 1 sub but do you think i should go with two?...

and can the ohm on the sub be wired to go from 2ohms->4 ohms ->1 ohms?

The Orion's a good amp, but i'd suggest going with a Class D mono amp simply because they're more efficient..not that it should really matter with 400 WRMS, but I remember a while back I was using a 4 Channel MTX amp rated for 560 WRMS and I had some dimming lights which wouldnt have been an issue had it been Class D.

you can wire 1 sub for a 4 ohm load or 1 ohm load...
and together you could wire them for 4 or 2ohms on the amp (i belive). anyway make sure you look into class D amps... they're more efficeint. i have a JL e1200 putting out around 120w (and that thing is class a/b) and it gets hot..

i think this amp would work for you http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2307 <decent amp, well within your budget, and should be fine on your subs (does 800w @ 2 ohms)

edit: lol, me and audiobass just said the same thing, only i've been doing other stuff and typing for about 10 minutes now... but hey, my amp is the same thign just cheaper

i personally would go with the 1500D if you want a lil better quaility at a little more price look into the eleveation audio DX 1500.1 depending on where you live im a dealer for elevation Sinister audio justin from detroit and smoker also are.

If you want to go with one sub and SPL I'd stick with a 15" the Diamonds are great subs, but Go with a 15" the only ones I would pick is the Alpine Type-R and the Kicker CompVR. I'm trying to get rid of my 15" type R for $150. Let me know what you think. I send another person a pm about it too, but they haven't responded. Let me know, I have some pics too.
