Kenwood is pretty popular with my brother and stuff. I never really liked them. What do you all think?

I personally don't think that this amp will put out this much power when it's so small and it's only $200.

Meh, im not a huge fan of Kenwood's stuff, but im sure it puts out close to what it says it does.

For cheapish amps, i would look into MTX, Kicker and Rockford. I would choose any of them over a Kenwood amp.

I would avoid.

My last experience with a Kenwood amp leads me to tell you this. Basicly they were running a 2 channel "600 watt" Kenwood amp. Switched it out with a 2 channel Kicker 600 WRMS amp and it was an AMAZING difference like right away.

I owned a Kenwood 600W amp when I first got my system. not very impressed with it. It ended up dying on me twice. Plus would go into protection pretty easily due to heat. It was only pushing 400W when it died too?

I owned some kenwood products back around the early 90s and it was ok. Since then, every piece of Kenwood gear I've had seems to fail abruptly, and thus I wouldn't trust them for more than use as a doorstop.

Get something more reliable.

ive gotta second ya there and it seems like it started about the time they went to, for lack of a better term the "3" series....823, 923 and so on....after they phased out the 821 and that line it kinda went crappy....although for what it was the kac-622 was a decent amp...not much power but good sound in its day....

I work for a dealer that sells Eclipse, JL Audio, Boston, Kenwood, clarion, and a few other brands. For the last 10 years all I used was JL Audio and Eclipse. When we picked up Kenwood last year I was a little critical of the line. But after installing it I have found the (Exceleon) line to be very solid. I personally switched to a Kenwood 25th Anniversary deck (XXV-01D) and 2 Kenwood 25th Anniversary Amps (XXV-02A and XXV-03A) Hands down features like Amp control from the head unit (Temp, voltage, and amp status) and the cooling system on these amps is truely awsome. Im running a set of Boston Z series components and a Boston G5 Sub w/a G12 radiator. The amps sound truely amazing. Its easy to come out a say it sucks til you actually own it I would recommend Kenwood Exceleon line to anyone.
