turbonator truth?

i was wondering if any of you have heard of this

it supposedly swirls your gas for better combustion.. is it true?

Swirls your gas??? No, no. It just creates a vortex for the air in the intake. It can help some cars that don't have aftermarket intakes by channeling the air down the center more and away from the friction bound sides of the tube. But that is only for a few cars that actually gain from it's slightly increased airflow. You would be much better off buying an intake which can be had for around the same amount.

Dude... if anything, that piece of crap is going to restrict your intake. Anybody claiming positive gains from that rip off is either retarded, or being paid to say that.

Yea, $70 for a piece of metal is a joke. I was flipping through a magazine today and saw an ad for it... brought a smile to my face :) .

Yeah, it's really sad that magazines endorse that crap. It just shows you that people will stand by anything if it gets them money.
