hey someone in my family owns a little car audio shop and i want to give him my business...im looking to power a XXX. he was showing me a couple amps he had. once was a Soundstream Reference 500S and the other was a Phoenix Gold PA3002 ... I can't find info on either of these because i believe they are rather old. so sorry no power ratings. but I believe they are around 1000watts each, whether bridged as 4 or just 2 or whatever.

anyways let me know what you think of those two amps. he also had some rockford fosgates, some from like 5 and 6 years ago.

thanks.

PG builds a very solid amplifier. If that model is rated for your power needs, I'd grab the PG.

i believe its like 600watts at 2ohms...doesnt that mean bridged it would be 1200watts at 1ohm? doesnt the stereo/mono thing change with bridging or something? does it change if the amp is mono?

no , the power at 2ohms is usually the same as bridged, as long as its a 2 channel, if its a mono block amp there is no bridging.
