I am new to all conerning car audio. I recently purchsed two ten inch kickers in a glass case and a legacy amp red series 2. The amp is 400w by 4 channels. I was told i was gonna need a 4 gauge wire. I would like to know what kits are the best and most inexpensive that i would need to hook up my amp and subs. Im putting them in a honda accord 92. I would like any tips or comments as to what i should do or buy. Is a legacy amp really that bad, im just asking i only got it for $50 was it worth it?

Running only 400 watts, you probably could get away with only 8 guage, but if you ever feel like upgrading (which you most likely will do), then go with 4 guage. Check out http://www.knukonceptz.com and look for a 4 guage kit that includes:
-Power cable
-Ground cable
-RCA's
-Remote turn on lead
-It will probably also include small connectors and whatnot.

edit: also, why are you using a 4 channel amp for 2 subs? what kicker subs do you have?

I would get 4 Ga because I have this itching feeling that in a month or less you will be asking about more powerfull amps.

more powerful than the almighty legacy? 400 x4 is probably actually 50 x4 but the increased spl through engine noise should make it sound louder......

what is the model of the exact amp you have?
how many ohms is the box you have? is it one pair of terminals or only one terminal set for both subs on the box?
I'm trying to figure out how you'll wire this and how much actual power it'll be.

that legacy amp is terrible.. can it be returned?
