Hey Guys - I'm new on this forum , Glad to see so many knowledgable ppl on here . I made out a list for a budget sytem & wanted your opinions on each item . This is all going in a import Nissan Station Wagon .

Premier HU : DEH-P860MP

HIFONICS 4 CHANNEL TX8805 (mids/highs)

Soundstream XTS6.5 6.5" 3-Way 150W RMS Speakers ( 1 in each door)

Pair of Pioneer 12" Subs TS-W306DVC in a pvc ported box as the fac rec

HIFONICS BRUTUS BX2005D - i know its too powerful but buying that much power in case of future sub upgrade

NO crossover will be used so i'm setting the freq using settings on the deck , sub rca output on deck & further fine tuning using deck's 13 band EQ & freq adjustments on each amp .

Overall - will this sytem be tonal balanced & SQL with the budget equipment that i chose ??? The subs i recently tseted/bought & am happy with , but have not as yet gotten the rest . I'm concerned about my amps selection since other ppl have dissed the Hifonics but i know of no other that can come close to the power vs. $ vs. brand - MTX is still a bit over my budget ! . Lastly , is there any other 6.5" than can give that bang for the buck ?

I know on 'the G/B list' that Autotek is in the same section as Hifonics & same company makes both - would anybody give a nod of either brand over the next ! ?

Thanks for your responses in advance !.....

My only sugestion is to drop the 3 ways, and go with a nice component set.

The only real bad thing about Hifonics is that their Brutus line doesn't do the rated power. I've seen that their 1500 watt does closer to 950 watts at the rated power. Of course it varies, though.

Your choice in a component set really should depend on what you like. Don't let someone talk you away from what you like, just make sure they have the reliability before buying.
