I can't believe it's finally done and WOW it sounds soooo freakin' awesome! I rode home this morning at 1am with my whole body vibrating from the BOOM and damn it's LOUD! I didn't know whether to cry or scream and I think I did both. LOL I've been wanting a system in a vehicle of mine for yeeeaaaaarrssss so this finally happening may seem stupid to some people but it's like a dream come true for me. I am going to have to find somewhere to go today just so I can listen to it!

I'll try to post some pics but this forum doesn't like me posting pics for some reason. Anyway - here's the breakdown

I now have an (Ascendant Audio) Atlas 12" and a Phoenix Gold XS6600 amp that's running my sub and JL fronts. I got a killer deal from a guy I know in a car club I'm in and he also did the install for me. This setup sounds amazing but I can tell I'll want to do a little tweaking at some point and make the way it looks in the back look much better. Right now it's all just sitting there. This thing is so loud and deep that I couldn't even turn it up halfway. My hands were vibrating so hard that it was making it hard to drive and I could feel my hair moving LMAO.

I do have one question though...... for a while I've been noticing a little whistling sound when I shift gears if the radio is turned down. Now that the whole thing is in, I really could hear it pretty loud but it's only when I'm shifting gears and of course only when the volume is turned down. Is there a remedy for this??

and has a stereo. now thats something to look for in a girl.

but your problem sounds like an alternator wine. you might want to reroute your wires or get better rca's.
