amp help

hi all,

i am just wondering how am i gonna wire my 4 channel amp its the cheap lanzar 421 model... yes i'm stubbornly cheap and thx for the reccomendations... right now i have a jvc hu and it only has 2 preouts for the amp so i was wondering how would i be able to do hook up an extra channel so i can hook up my amp on the third channel for my sub. thx all

you'll need one of two things
an electronic crossover, like a coustic XM-3 of Audiocontrol 4XS, or
you'll need an EQ or preamp that has one pair of RCA inputs and 3 sets of outputs with fader, balance, and subwoofer level control.

only other option is a different head unit.
for one pre-out to six amp channels, you shouldn't just use Y splitters.

Is that 2 sets of preouts? Or just a red/white pair?

either way he'd be best off with a signal processor to handle it.. otherwise he's going to lose sub control, or fade ability.
I guess that's up to him though

i just have one red and one white... so i should just get an electronic cross over huh??? hmmmm i just want it to look plan so not to attention when ppls look you know... thx all

There's got to be some sort of processor/crossover that you set and leave behind the dash or right at your amp, so you should be able to hide it.

that's all ya need
mounts with or by the amplifiers, under a seat, where ever you have room.
it's not that big, and once it's set up, you don't need to mess with it.

search ebay for the make and model

hey thx alot for the info im hoping i can win that coustic xm3 so i can play my all my speakers. how i think the bass is taking up all the space in my car and its sounds lop sided hehe... it made me dizzzy the frist day i listened to my sub and just the front factory speakers... thx alot for all the help

there are several XM3s listed on ebay.. that was just one.
the XM3 will allow you to adjust the output level of the subs by attenuating the input signal.. so you can use the level setting to help balance out the subs with the rest of the system. very handy for that.

you may, at some point, want to consider good front speakers with an amplifier for them to help balance the sub as well.
