alpine type r sub

if i have a hifonics amp thats 1 ohm stable should i get a alpine type r dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm sub?also what is the cons of running your amp at 1 ohm?

Are you just going to have 1 sub or 2?

If 1 sub,
You can get down to the 1ohm with the dual 2ohm sub.
With the dual 2, you can't

As for pro/cons, is there a power output difference between running it at 2 ohms or 1?
If there is, you'll get more power at 1 but might have more heat. But since this amp is designed to run at this level, shouldn't be a problem.

If there is no difference in power output, then it doesn't really matter.
2 ohm might run cooler, not sure.
