Eclipse EA3422 help!

hey guys, i have an Eclipse EA3422 amp that runs in 4/3/2 channel mode. the manual has no power or ohm ratings on this amp in 3 ch mode. i was wondering if anyone could help me out on this? i remember seeing someone who said they also had this amp so if ya could come forward and help me out with this, it would be greatly appreciated :-)

3 channel is really just using one side of it bridged (fronts or rears) and the other side (rears or fronts) as normal. So whatever the bridged power is, for that front or rear it will be thus. The other channels are how they are rated normally.

hmm.. not fully sure on that, maybe cuz its 3am..
in the manual, these are the numbers they give me..
2ohm- 70Wx4ch
4ohm- 50Wx4ch
4ohm bridged- 140Wx2ch
so now lets say i want to bridge the front, which would yield a 4ohm load and 140W into 2 channels. with the remaining channel(s), what happens? is it only one channel? is it still 2? the amp says it is 2ohm stable so does that mean that last channel can be run at 2ohm? and if so, how many watts would that yield?
im sorry for so many questions.. i emailed eclipse with my questions but they never responded

You should just treat the front set and the rear set as two separate amps. That should help you understand what I mean.

so if i bridge the front set, could i bridge the rear set? how exactly does bridging work? does it depend on the wiring?
basically, im just trying to figure out how to run a sub off of that extra channel after bridging, because i dont want to buy another amp quite yet..

Yea, it's just wiring. You can either bridge both or either or. You could actually think of it in terms of left and right too (depending on how the amp lets you bridge).

i just realized.. dont u need to use all 4 channels to bridge?

Nope, only two; typically either the front or rears, but some amps will allow you to use both left channels (or right) as well.

4 channel mode: 2 ohms per channel min.
3 channel mode: 2 ohms per channel 1&2, 4 ohms on bridged channel 3&4 min.
2 channel mode: 4 ohms per channel min.

ok just to make it clear kiki, if i wanted to bridged the front channels, it would be 4ohm and 140Wx2. the remaining channels CAN be run down to 2ohm? can they only be 50Wx2? or is there a way to combine them or something so that i can run a sub off of them? i know, its not going to be much power, but i dont want to buy another amplifier right now.
