hey I have a problem I am stuck between 2 kind of subs and I would like your opinion.
infinity reference 1062 dvc 4 ohm or kicker comp c10 10" single voice coil 4ohm.
so what would you prefer?

What amp do you intend to use.

I intend on useing the sub channels of 2 infinity 5035a 5 channel amps cause I need the other 8 chanels for my mids and highs .the sub channels rated at 150rms @ 4 ohms and 300 @ 2 ohms.

I would recomend going with the Kicker CVR 10", I believe those are rated at 300 watts rms. How many speakers will you be running? Just one 5 channel amp should be enough. Just one 5 channel amp can run your sub and then your other four speakers. Some people don't even run rear speakers and just have a nice front stage.

I am going to have 2 subs and I will need those 8 channels so I can have a nice rear fill instead of just front fill and the sub channel only put out 300 watts each into 2 ohms thats another reason why I have 2 amps.AAAnd I dont that the cvr were 1 of my choices it was between the infinity 1062 dvc 10" 4ohm or the kicker c10 10" svc 4 ohm.

i would go with neither woofer, and i'd especially stay away from the comp, i think its only rated for a whopping 150 rms

ok then why not the infinity's and if you think neither subs then what should i get id like to kind of stay in the same $ range.

Front fill huh? LMFAO. Nathan you've obviously been talking to some super smart people. Let me guess their parents have the same parents and grandparents. Can we say 3rd generation retards?

There is no such thing as front fill. The front, is where your music comes from. As for rear fill. Your talking about an extended cab S10. And you plan on running full range with the same power in the rear as the front. There is no way around it. Your going to hear the rear speakers over the front speakers.

I tried to help. And honestly you would have ended up with a kick ass system if you would have listened. But your young, and about as bright as a door knob, so I'm going to let you listen to your friends, instead of someone with 15+ years installing. Good luck in the future, and I'm sure we will see you around come the first or second set of blown amps or speakers.

i rarely use my rear speakers and if i do the fade is on like 14 to the front. youre gonna have a hard time making it sound good with that many speakers.

then go to your local swap meet and pick up some cheap subs

actually out of the 2 you posted id probably go with the kickers only because i used the old solobaric round 10s years ago and i liked them i still have one but its in rough shape

the older cerwin vega vmax subs can be found on ebay for a pretty good deal they have the power handling youd be looking for plus they were pretty sensitive
the new ones are pretty cheap too but the sensitivity went way down on them power handling went up
