Going Camping Tonight...

Finally got some good camping weather, so my cousin and our friend are going down to the river to camp tonight (unless the puss out at the last sec.)
We have around 4" of fresh snow on the ground and temp should be right around 0.
LINGERING LIGHT SNOW AND FLURRIES WILL TAPER OFF TONIGHT...THOUGH GUSTY
NORTHWEST WINDS TO 30 MPH WILL RESULT IN SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING
OF SNOW...AS WELL AS INCREASINGLY DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS WITH
VALUES FALLING TO 15 TO 24 BELOW ZERO LATE TONIGHT.
Expect pictures tomorrow. :happy055:

Yep, should be a lot of fun. He just called and said he was running late but that he still wanted to go. I would prefer not to set up in the dark, but whatever, it's the way it's going to be... :)
Wish us luck!

You're going to have something rigged up to keep yourselves off the ground, right?

Air mattress?
We don't have any fancy stuff. We have old blankets we use for camping and a decent tent, other than that, 3 layers of clothing.
Still waiting on him to show up...

I would put as many blankets between myself and that air mattress as I could.
Have fun and be careful, boys.

Well he called and said "meet at my house" so I get dress in about 5 layers, pack covers, soda, water, food, flash lights, etc... Then go to his house and he's like "oh, it's going to be really cold."
:angry11: NO F*CKIN SH*T, we've literally been talking about the cold weather coming in for days. I think one of his other buddies wanted to do something and that was his way of getting out of it...
If I didn't just go through an hour long process of getting stuff ready I wouldn't be mad, but now I'm just a little p*ssed.
