Okay dudes I want to know something. I had to take my wifes trailblazer to our local GM dealer (pricks), to get her ecu reprogrammed. Well to make a short story long, they put a new ecu in it and for whatever reason the vehicle fried it. And the first words out of their mouths, were (you all see where this is going), its probably the aftermarket radio. Now granted had I did a hack job and cut wires and haphazardly went about wiring it up, it could very well have, but I didnt I used the correct interface for the vehicle and wired everything correctly.

They charged us for the fried module, but we ended up getting our money back. So all is well that ends well.

But it just irks the piss out of me that the stereo is the first thing to blame.

What do you all think.

Exactly. People always **** shit up even though they claim they know what there doing. Shit gets blown up and because they think they hooked it up right its kosher.

I had the ECM go ape shit in my Buick and they claimed it was "THE MASSIVE STEREO AMPS IN THE TRUNK" I laughed and said well if it is ill be back in 2 weeks for another. Good thing i got that warranty. I should take a picture of the invoice with that on it.

Because they want to place the blame on something they cant comprehend. They dont understand it and are to incompetent to find the root cause so they place the blame on the radio.

Every time I used to take my car into the shop for anything electrical, it was always the "radio systems" fault.

Solution?

I stopped paying people to work on my car!

This happens as well but some issues can be cause by ****ing up the radio.

With the level of integration now in cars, I fully understand that. But dont go there first and say "oh yeah well thats what it is"

Oh well its over now," I will overcome" LOL

Yes I can appreciate that notion, dont get me wrong. But its almost always what they blame blindly.
