Not sure if anyone keeps up with what has been happening to police officers lately here in Washington. But there has been a rash of officers being killed on duty.

There was 1 on Halloween night, then 4 were murdered a couple days before Thanksgiving.

But this next one really hit close to home, my cousin's husband was Kent Mundell, and while on a call last Monday him and his partner were shot several times by a piece of scum who shouldn't have been free in the first place.

His partner is recovering now, but unfortunately Kent passed away last night.

Kent was one of those guys that everyone liked, he had a great sense of humor and was just an overall great guy. He was also the cop that you wanted patrolling the streets, he actually cared about other people and went out of his way to keep everyone safe.

It's really been hard on all of us. My family and his just had our Christmas dinner the night before this all happened. I think I'm still in sort of denial that this has actually happened. He was just telling us about how he was getting into scuba diving and was really enjoying it.

I know in the past our forum has pulled together and helped families in need. Kent leaves behind his wife and his 2 children. If any of you could donate to his family, all of us would really appreciate it.

Here is a link to where you can donate.

Thanks
Chris.

I'm really sorry to hear about this. It sounds like he was a great guy.

I'm really broke right now but I'll see if I can pull together a small donation...

Sorry for your loss. May he r.i.p!
