v6 (3.7 DOHC) = 305 hp and 280 pound-feet of torque.
v8 (5.0 mod) = 412 hp and ? pound-feet of torque.
Factor in the mustang is lighter than both the camaro and the challengers and things start getting interesting.
Discuss!

the Challenger is a better looking car it most closely resembles the original body style, i dont like either the new Camaro or the new Mustang. i havent liked mustang since they dropped the fox body.

I don't know, the sn95's are really starting to grow on me. I think I just run 10-15 years behind on cars.

Maybe its the driver?
With some work the sn95's and the new edges can handle pretty dang good.

I'm comparing the '10 camaros and challengers with the '11 mustangs. I'm doing this because there's not a whole lot of info out on the '11 chargers and camaros yet.
'10 ChallengerPrice :$22,735
3.5-liter V6 that makes 250 hp and 250 pound-feet of torque, No manual trans option (that I could find), EPA-estimated 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway.
'10 Camaro Price: $22,680
Engine, 3.6L Variable Valve Timing V6 with SIDI that makes 300 hp and 273 lb.-ft. of torque , 6-Speed Manual transmission, 17 mpg city/26 highway.
'11 Mustang Price $???????
3.7-liter version of the all-aluminum, 60-degree Duratec V6, 305 hp and 280 pound-feet of torque, 18 mpg city/29 mpg highway Manual, 19 mpg city and 30 mpg on the highway (auto).
I'm going to assume the challenger and camaros options will stay the same for '11. I'm also going to assume the mustang will be priced to compete with the the challengers and camaros.
Out of the 3 the mustang is lighter, makes more power, gets better gas mileage, and it wouldn't surprise me if it were cheaper as well.
I still don't have enough information on the gt mustang to compare it with the other models, so this is just comparing the base models.
I will say this, I think the v8 versions will be VERY competitive with each other. The HP race is ON!

Motortrend already did a test on the 3 and the mustang and camaro were very close the camaro just edged it out.

From a personal standpoint I like the Challenger so much better.
My wife on the other hand digs the Camaro.
Havent seen the 11 Mustang yet.
Untill the Challenger came out I liked the New body Mustang by far the best of any mustang made, coming in second were the Fox bodies.
I love the way the 60's and 70's are coming back around. Back then it was the big 3. Chevy Chrsyler and Ford, now it is again.
I saw in Motor trend or Car and driver that the camaro nosed out on horsepower by quite a bit.(Until the specs of the 11 mustang came to light). But I still give my nod to the challenger, if I ever get one it will be the big un. I just hope they throw me in a set of tires LOL.

The v6 versions? With the '11 mustang?
The '11 is a whole new beast (power train wise.) The '10 is kind of weak from the factory.
