i been noticing some times my bass hits hard and then it
don't. i have two DVC cerwinvaga 12' and a kenwood amp
for each they are bridge. One sub is louder than other
i switch the spkr wires L TO R SUB AND R TO L SUB SO IT'S
not the amps. i did a ohm test and both subs is 4.3 ohms
so what could be the pro is it heat related V/C ? i will take it out the box to see if i can see any thing.
looks like i need to sub shop

Are you sure you are not just perceiving that one is louder than the other based on your seating position in the car?
One shouldnt be louder or quiter without some sort of disconnect going on.
If you ohm tested and both are at 4.3, I think that rules out any termninal leads being loose or unhooked, and if you don't hear any distortion than that means that your cone is probably fine as well as the coil...
Only thing I can think of is that its the box... do you have leaks anywhere?
Try physically switching the sub to the other box... If the problem now switches to a new sub its your box... If not I think you will be purchasing a new sub...

Are you using 2 subs with 2 amps? there is something way wrong here.

this is in my yukon facing the rear and i can clearly hear that one
sub is lower than the other one no matter which amp is hooked
to it.
and there is no sounds that the V/C 'S are bad switched subs in the box no diff . i have one amp for each sub.
so i think i will be looking for subs.

they are both in a shared enclosure?

if you have an amp for each sub then I would say your gains are not matched and or one amp is loosing power or ground.

from your posts, it kind of sounds like they are in more than one box and maybe face different directions..
if they were in a shared box, how would you know which one you are hearing?
there is all kinds of crazy cancellation that can occur when you have multiple subs.
Regardless of all of that, I really don't think you should be shopping for subs, I'm sure they are fine.

okay!! i have two subs in a sealed box with a divider in the middle
the subs are facing the rear doors.
no matter which amp i plug it to it's a lower out put than the other
sub which has no problem what ever amp i put it on.
and it's night & day between the two subs out put. thanks for the
ideas!!!

The only way this would makes sense to me is if one sub was presenting a 2ohm load while the other was 4ohm or something. But you've checked this so...
Dumb question but I have to ask... Both subs are the exact same models, right?
