Honestly, I would have agreed with Mobile there a few years ago, but now any of the diesels manufactured today are stout freakin motors. Coupled with the right tranny, and you have a major stump puller from any of them.

The only thing that separates those three motors is that the Cummin's is inline 6 and the other two are v8's

We used a 2001 Dodge 3/4 ton diesel to tow a Cat around on a trailer from place to place quite often. I sometimes would've forgot we were towing a dozer around had there not been a big friggin' dozer taking up the entire rear view. I'm talking towing this thing around on bush roads. Where a Cat basically plows the trees down and there's your road.

This size of Cat...

And the 2007 up Chev/Gm's rule!!!

I havent towed with mine yet, but I can tell you the 5.3 humms. I love it. I got on it a little bit yesterday mornin and it barked em pretty good. First vehicle I ever had that was actually kinda powerful.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Your all opinions matter to me.

The 5.3 will get it pretty good.

My cousin had a 99 3/4 ton with a 6.0, he was going to trade it in for a newer truck and we test drove a 4.8 and a 5.3, the 5.3 was way peppier than both the 4.8 and 6.0....

The 6.0 is a joke....

if a 5.3 is a 327 ( i reckon) what would the 4.8 be??

And even though I dont have pix to post up, I ordered my equipment today and got the birch for my audio.

Man I like that birch it is some sexeee stuff, right there. Im gonna put my bedrails on (as some as they come in), and some of the other stuff I got for it and ho it up and take some pix. Oh yeah I also got my winders tinted yesterday.
