attack more people, attack people that are at or above your level to get the most exp.

start training then... thats the most important part - also, learn which players you can and can't beat. don't fight the losing fights until you significantly improve your stats.

ya, you need to work on your stats to make make sure you win. I would work on Speed the most at first, then as you start to gain levels, work on defense and strength too.
