I was coming back from St.louis all disappointed because I couldnt find the parts that I wanted. About 30 miles from home I jumped off the interestate and decided to take some old back roads home. I do this every now and again because its a great way to find cheap cars.

I'm driving and out of the corner of my eyes I see two fox bodies sitting in somebodies backyard, I couldnt resist so I went back and knocked on their door. The said "sure, I'll sell one of them, let me grab my shoes!"

So he puts his shoes on and we go take a closer look. There was black on and a silver one. He said hes turning the silver one into a dirt track car, but will sell the black one (has a clear title.) It's just a roller (no motor or tranny) but otherwise in complete and in decent shape, he said he'd have to get $200 bucks for it...

He said if I wanted to strip the headlights/tailights, interior, mirrors, ect off the silver car I can have all that as well. He just wants the rolling chassis, everything else is mine... Lots of extra parts, radiators, alternators, ect...

Right now I have ALL my money tied up in other parts, which I need to sell before tomorrow at noon in order to get the car... I'm hoping that my sister will front me the money for a few days, but we'll see...

I'll be so pee'd if I miss out on this deal.

I'm still not 100% sure I'll be able to round of the funds. I hoping I can probably borrow the money from either my mother or sister until tuesday, then I'll be in decent shape.

The weather is surpose to get nasty after tomorrow (rain/snow), so I wont be able to work on it until late next week. Even if I get it theres only a very small chance I will be able to drive it this year. I'm not going to post any plans because I havent even gotten the car yet, but if I get it I have a real good idea of whats going to happen...

that is a hell of a deal man.... you better take it. i want to find me one, the body doesnt matter because i can fix that but im trying to find a solid one. people up here want crazy money for very nice ones.

Same way here. If you want to a real nice one it'll cost you between 5-8 grand.

This car could use a paint job, but the floor pan, torque boxes, ect all look great. It has a red interior, which I actually like (most people dont), he said I could have the interior out of the sliver one if I wanted to pull it. I probably will.

Ehh, I havent gotten the money together yet. I can get it from my sister, but it'll cut her short. Than again, I can pay here back tuesday at the latest. I'm going completely through the car if I get it, hoping for a daily driveable (reliable) 12 second car. :happy055:

I got the money together, but can't get ahold of my uncle to see if I can use his trailer. He always tells me to just take it when I need it, but I hate not asking first, might have to though.

I'll post some pictures when/if I get it home.

Well I went out and paid for the car and got the title, havent picked the car up yet. I'm hoping to get it tomorrow if the weather isnt to bad. The guy is giving a bunch of extra parts of the other car (full interior, all the glass, the outside mirrors, head/tail lights, ect.)

Not a horrible way to spend 200 bucks...

I'll post pictures when I pick the car up. It's nothing real special but its a good start!
