I just purchased a Brutus Bxi2008, i installed it tonight and noticed that it seems that i have to turn the gain all the way to 0.2v to get the bass that my power 1001bd was putting out? is it possible that the RF amp is more powerful? or am missing something?

Are you running the hifonics amp @ 1om?

Sounds like a major wiring issue. STOP PLAYING THE AMP BEFORE YOU BLOW IT UP!!! the mine it didnt sound right you should turn it off and re examine all your wiring.

no, its running at 2.66 ohm, i'm running 3 dvc 4 ohm subs, i'm still trying to get the proper wiring series/parallel to get 1 ohm.
my imprint is supposed to bring the lineout voltage to 4v but i swear its still at 2v. but i have not done the imprint alignment yet, still installing speakers.

its not the wiring, no screws through wiring to worry about with my subs.

Hey Bill, shouldn't the Brutus be able to handle the 0.67 Ohm load of just wiring them parallel?
I know others have run the Brutus amps at half ohm for short bursts of power on burps, but how would it hold up to the .67 as long as it wasn't clipping?

way to low for daily application. on a low note it would probably drop close to .7 and that would blow up the amp not to mention void the warranty.

better find a place to have it repaired soon. Good luck with that.
Your playing the amp 3 times its rated load. your maybe getting 750 watts out of a 2000 watt amp because your not at the correct load. So your solution was to turn everything up. well now your clipping your amp and your destroying your subs and amps.

What subs are you running?
You cant wire some subs series and some parallel.
Its all alike or it doesnt work right.
Drop a sub and run 2 @ 1 Ohm and be happy.
Otherwise as stated something bads going to happen. You just cant run equipment like that.
If you want to run 3 subs get subs with the correct impedance to do so.
