So I was just browsing the site and I came across this, a triangle sub. I've never seen or heard of this before, it looks weird...

Are there any advantages to that or is it just a POS sub?

...btw I'm not interested in buying it, I was just intrigued by the triangle design...

numerous disadvantages. limited excursion due to the shape and surround in respect to a similar round driver, stress points at the angle intersections of the triangle that cause surround and cone distortion (flex) at higher excursion, and so forth. Not really an ideal design, and done purely for the wow factor and aesthetics.

I looked it over when the link was posted and it didn't look like to well a thought out design. I think they just wanted on the bandwagon with Sony, and kicker, what with the pentagon or octagon shape of the sony x-plod and the square kickers.

Ohh well,
