So I'm over at a buddies garage this moring when I get a phone call..

Me: Hello???

Caller: Justy??? (Ehh, what some of my family calls me)

Me: Yeah???

Caller: This is officer *Beep* with the Bourbon Police Department, are you familar with a Dale *Beep*.

Me: Yes, he's my uncle...

Caller: Ok, well I pulled him over and he had an active warrent so he was placed under arrest, because he was cooperative and had your grandma's car I didnt feel right having it towed, so I told him I'd try getting somebody to pick it up instead...

So I run down and met up with the cop. He was extremely nice, gave me the number to the jail and courthouse, along with the proper info to try and get him out...

Turns out he had a warrent for pos. of a controlled sub. and had a 1,000 dollar cash only bound.. :surprised

I called the jail and they said to call the court house and I might be able to get the bond reduced, or made to were we could get a bonds men..

But the court house was closed so he's going to be spending atleast a night in jail...

He has a drug problem (meth) so were probably going to let him stay in for a while to detox...

Anyways, nobody hardly ever post about the good cops, so I decided to!!! :happy055:

There are quite a few good cops out there... Around here probably 90% or better, it's just sometimes they had a bad day just like everybody else, but if you're friendly and cooperative they normally are appreciative and much more friendly... Most also forget that when they first walk up to a car, house, etc. that they are trained to expect the worst which is why they usually come off harsh at first.
Sorry to hear about your Uncle... Hope and pray he takes the steps to get the help he needs.

Well the court house isnt having court today, so it's going to be alteast tomorrow before we know anything...

I called the county jail to see when I could visit him, and if I could bring him ciggerettes?

They said they're a smoke free facility, and I couldnt see him until monday at 6pm...

So unless he gets to go to court tommorow - and the judge lets him out, he'll being sitting in there a while...

Yeah, I kinda hope he has to stay until just before christmas....

But its a Possession Of Controlled Substance charge, a class C felony...

He has been arrested a few times for failure to pay off fines for traffic offensives...

I guess I'll call the court house the morning and see whats-whats...
