How come??

Post by Tim »

I wonder about something...How come all the pix I see of other peoples glass projects, the resin and glass combo look yellow.

Mine is white...Like the color of the fiberglass mat. Is some mat yellow, or is it the resin or what.

I know this is a dumb question to ask but I would like to know.

Normally the resin... or should I say the hardener put to it that makes up the color.

Most common resins like the Bondo are goldish, but I believe our friend Tim here is using the USC brand which is white, but the hardener itself brand, type (and obviously dyes)can change the color.

That and in my case, the garage normally has a ton of mdf dust all over... so what color do you think even clear would turn out :p lol

Yep yep, using the USC, and loving every minute of it.

That would be the one I have. Since the resin is blue I thought it would dry blue also. not that it matters, what color it dries, it is just what led to my confusion.
