so ive made a decision and im moving out to some land i have. no electricity no septic no water nothing not even a road to it yet but its near the ocean and im tired of cities. anyways i usually use everstart maxx 27 for everything they seem to work well and are rated at 125 amp hours and are cheap. problem with them is they are hybrid batteries not really deep cycles. anyways ive got panels im getting a wind generator all i need now is good cheap deep cycles all ive found up here are really expensive. i was told at the place i got the panels 6 volt golf cart batteries are awesome for power storage they had some trojan batteries there but the best was 100 amp hours for 168 dollars. so anyways anyone know where to get any good cheap batteries id like to keep it under 140 per battery preferably less figured you guys might be able to help me on my search

But how will you post on cac?

If you wind up having a choice between red and yellow tops, go for yellow tops. I would really make sure you don't have some type of lead acid battery near where you are sleeping, too.

i was thinking starband dtv or hughes for that
i really hate satellite tv and internet though. i have had way to many problems with it in the past. maybe clearwire will work out there or some type of mobile phone broadband

Yellow Tops are Deep Cycle batteries...if you are anywhere near some water and you want to be sure that the batteries are protected...then look at the blue tops. they are marine grade batteries and they too are deep cycle.

Hope this helps

Optima's are overpriced IMO look at deka intimidator batteries. there are tons of other brands. just do some looking around you can find plenty of them. if your looking for power storage batteries look into UPS batteries. such as northstar or enersys.
