I see nothing wrong with price gouging...
I know I might get flamed here but seriously
Why can't the owner of the franchise BP sell his gas for more? Its supply and demand?
If the owners of Mobile and the other oil companies can triple their prices overnight why can't others?
If the owner of that BP had friends in congress he'd not have a word said to him....

gas stations cant legally raise their prices til they run out of the gas they already have if im not mistaken.. and yeah, id say when the hurricane is over, the prices will go down, well, as long as it doesnt **** up the refineries.

Well see that's kinda 2 different things... Supply and demand/ Price Gouging
The idea of supply and demand in price hikes to offset costs is perfectly understandable (to some extent).
Where as price gouging is taking advantage of the people.

The problem with gas and price gouging. if one place raises the others follow suit. Then you have to pay the ultra high price. So thats why its illegal. That happened here when 9/11 happened. Places got nailed to by the state attorney general.

I'd rather the local owner of the gas station make some money than the corporate companies.
If price gouging is illegal then explain to me what the major oil companies did and how thats not illegal?
