Eclipse XA4200

I am having a hell of a time finding any user reviews on this amplifier. Is it THAT new that nobody has anything to say about it?

Is this a good, quality amp? Any thoughts?

I had an EA4000 not long ago.

Providing the same basic design is there, im sure its a solid amp at a good price. Im sure it does rated power and specs seem in line.

Already read that, was looking for some more in depth reviews from some of the members here though.

Theres not much to it unless theres some sort of design flaw or Eclipse went cheap on it compared to the slightly older models...

I wouldnt pay $450 for it though, thats for sure.

I always thought Eclipse was on the high end as far as amplifiers go. Just wanted to see if anything has changed over the years.

They are a trusted name. I wouldn't say high end. The line between high end and mid grade is starting to diminish.

When you say high end I think Brax or Genesis, not Eclipse.

Hmm... guess you have a point. Although I always thought of Eclipse as high end about 8-10 years ago. The times they are a-changin'!

Thats fairly correct for 12-15 years ago. Just many brands are moving to asian build houses. Generally what Ive noticed is the ultra high end thats gone this route drops a little bit in quality. Where as the mid grade stuff got better...

Things are more standardized now and the bogus off the wall junk you used to sometimes see is disappearing.
