So yeah, the guy who does my machine work was telling me about a fox body that he bought about 15 years ago. He said that some younger guy brought a brand new fox body and drove it for a couple of months before deciding that he wanted to put a built v8 in it (it was a 4cyl, 5 speed.)

He drove it out to the machine shop and the car was torn down and prepped for the swap... Then the kid got arrested...

The car sat at his shop for a year or two until the bank came to repo it (guess it took them a while to find it) and seen that it was all disassembled, and the machine shop was going to put a lien on it, so they offered it to the guy at the machine for a few hundred bucks.

I was wow, that would be awesome car to have today, and he's like "yeah, it's been sitting down at my place every since."

He said it's still complete minus motor and tranny (which he sold), and is still in real good condition, but hell, it's just a roller...

I tried to act like I wasnt insainely interested and said "oh, I might have to come and look at it sometime, it might be an OK project car for me."

So yeah, I'm going to go look at it tomorrow if I can get ahold of him... WISH me luck!!!!!

there are quite a few fox bodies rollin around campus. At first i didnt like them at all, but that's taken a 180, i want one!! Nice find and good luck with the buy.

I havent seen the car so I'm not sure how good of condition it's in. But hopefully it's cherry and I can get it cheap...

My cousin wants to buy my chevy from me, which should be enough to buy the car and get a decent start on it...
